Brighton Shared Path, Melbourne
Tract consultants were engaged by Bayside City Council to generate a considered landscape design solution for the missing pedestrian/bicycle link between Bay Street and the Middle Brighton Baths, Brighton.
Working with Council and the project marine consultant GHD, Tract generated a dynamic solution of a curvilinear elevated boardwalk that enables visitors to connect with the coastal setting, travelling over sand and water.
The integration of a series of rock groynes maximises the foreshore by encouraging beach renourishment offering opportunities for picnicking and beach activities.
