Bowen Foreshore Redevelopment
Tract Consultants is proud of its partnership with the Whitsunday Regional Council (formerly Bowen Shire Council) in the redevelopment of the Bowen Foreshore – Stage One.

Located at the northern end of the Whitsunday Region on the central Queensland Coast, Bowen and the project site have a rich history. The masterplan acknowledges the Indigenous and South Sea Islander Culture, agricultural and fisheries industries of the region, past use as a base for the Catalina flying boats during WW2 and the use of the site as the set for Baz Luhrman’s Australia Movie.
The opening celebrations were held on November 14, 2009, and included community events and a concert which was a part of the Queensland Music Festival. The opening ceremony and concert included a rich display of indigenous dance and South Sea Islander music. Tract congratulates all involved for their hard work and vision. A book of photographs was produced to document the project and commemorate the opening celebrations.
